Empowering Women through Health and Nutrition

Women in rural India play a vital role in their families and communities. However, they often face significant barriers in accessing healthcare and nutrition services. OPDSURE FOUNDATION has been working in Uttarakhand to address these challenges. With a focus on empowering women, OPDSURE FOUNDATION has established health and nutrition programs that provide training and capacity-building opportunities for women. The program has reached over 2,000 women and has led to a 30% increase in the number of women accessing healthcare services during pregnancy. According to the National Family Health Survey (NFHS) - 5, only 20% of women in Uttarakhand have a bank account. OPDSURE FOUNDATION's program has also promoted economic empowerment by providing training on financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
